10th Annual Racers for Tots Christmas Party
  
The 10th Annual RFT Christmas Party was held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the South Fayette Fire Hall in Cuddy, PA.

Sarver, PA (October 22, 2008) Every year the fine folks from “Racers for Tots” spend countless hours and travel hundreds, maybe thousands of miles to sell raffle tickets for a chance to win a brand new, race-ready Rocket Chassis Late Model. Each year the Rocket Chassis winner is announced at Challenger Speedway during Fall Fest. This year, the winner is none other than 1998 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion Gary Lyle!
Gary is a long time veteran at Lernerville Speedway, both in the now defunct Limited Late Model division and for the past dozen or so years in the Friedman’s Freshmarkets UMP DIRTcar Super Late Model Division. He competes on a weekly basis and is one of the nicest guys in the pits.
As fate would have it, the car is numbered with the #10 for Racers for Tots’ 10th Anniversary, and as local racing fans know, that is Gary’s longtime number as well. As such, he intends to run the car with the existing Racers for Tots decal package with modifications to include his current sponsors.
Gary wanted to express his sincerest appreciation for everyone involved with Racers for Tots and everyone whom purchased a ticket this year, (and every year), to help provide toys for children who may otherwise not have any gifts to open on Christmas Morning. Racers for Tots has raised over half a million dollars over the past 10 years, including three straight years of over $70,000 in donations.
Gary and the entire Lyle Racing Team look forward to flying the Racers for Tots colors for what hopes to be a very successful 2009 campaign! He plans to debut the car at the Lernerville Speedway Car Shows at the Clearview Mall in Butler and The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills on Route 28 near Tarentum.

Gunslingers Join Forces with Racers for Tots
The
Fabulous Gunslingers will be selling stickers with their names on
them for ten dollars each. All proceeds will go to Racers
for Tots. By purchasing a sticker, you are not only displaying
that you are a fan of the Gunslingers, but you are also helping
someone in need. Ten dollars is the average price spent on
a new toy so you are buying a new toy for a needy child with every
sticker. Also, the stickers will be placed on the 2007 Rocket
Late Model race car that Racers for Tots raffles throughout the
racing season. Here is the best part of the sticker program.
Six lucky fans of the Gunslingers will accompany them at the stores
to purchase the toys.
The
reason the Fabulous Gunslingers are joining with Racers for Tots
is that they have seen firsthand the amount of toys that Racers
for Tots has purchased with the money raised throughout the year
for the Marines' Toys for Tots Program. They have played at
the annual Racers for Tots Christmas party for the past four years
and have been witness to the Marines picking up the new toys and
bikes.
Last year Racers for Tots raised over $72,000.00 and filled two
forty-foot trucks with toys and bikes. Their eight year total
is over $350,000.
